Our stuff is here! Dec.3rd 2007

This morning we got the best present EVER! Our stuff showed up. It wouldn't be Britain without a small snag, so when the delivery guy knocked on our door and told us the lorrie (van) was too big to fit down our street, we just rolled our eyes. He proceeded to tell us that they weren't allowed to walk more than 200 feet from the van to the house. There could be a charge of 300 pounds if they need to go get a smaller van. I'll cut to the chase, we begged, they conceded and we now have all our stuff! It's been two months of paper plates, plastic cutlery, and empty walls. At the moment it is spread throughout our house, where we've created little walking pathways in between boxes and bundles. Now that its all here, we realize we have enough kitchen ware to serve a small country. Our plates are too wide for our cupboards, our silverware makes our one kitchen drawer impossibly heavy, and one dresser between the two of us is just laughable. Needless to say, we couldn't be happier!!!!
