The Summer of Pete and Sam

Seriously, where have we been all summer? On summer break of course. We ended up calling it “The Summer of Pete and Sam” because we’re selfish, and don’t really think of others very often. Actually, we spent our summer at home, hanging out with friends and family, several of whom read this blog. It was a glorious season filled with eating, sunning, swimming, laughing, celebrating, road-tripping, house-sitting and camping. We became addicted to several TV shows over the summer, and are still enjoying our love affair with Mad Men. We even had a little “stay-cation” with my side of the family and it was glorious. I highly recommend stay-cations, especially if you book a camping site at Ocean Shores for the weekend, and then realize it is absolutely pouring buckets in Ocean Shores.

We were so lazy this summer, we hardly took any pics to share with you all, our loving and loyal readers. Thankfully, I managed to scrounge up a few from the vault.
Do sunsets get any better than the ones on the Puget sound? I really don't know if they do.

Pete taking off in the kayak. If you ever get a chance to house sit a lake house....DO IT! It will make you friends, I promise.

Tay and Pete at our favorite Thai place in Seattle. This was after my brother told us it had closed down. Why? Why would he tell such a cruel and heartless lie? I'm not sure, and we probably won't know for quite a while, b/c we've excommunicated him from the family. That's what happens to liars.

Wow, this pic has a lot of face in it. We're in Sunriver. You can't tell, b/c our faces are blocking the view, but that's where we are. Promise.

It was a summer of dreams, and now that dream is over. We are officially in Ohio, and fall is here. But that is a post for another day.
